Nurse Practitioner

Adam is a Urology Nurse Practitioner who has over 15 years of urology nursing experience. He has post-graduate qualifications in prostate cancer, sexual health and cancer, and continence. Recently Adam was awarded the 2022 Australian and New Zealand Urology Nurses Society (ANZUNS) Diamond award, which is the highest award in urology nursing for Australia and New Zealand presented to an individual, which recognises his expert urology nursing knowledge and contribution to the urology nursing society.

Adam is committed to providing comprehensive patient care, with a particular focus on individuals who have undergone urological cancer treatment and are dealing with sexual function challenges. While Adam possesses proficiency in various aspects of urology, it is in the realm of sexual function that he has primarily concentrated his knowledge and expertise.

He is enthusiastically involved in large scale educational events for his urology nursing colleagues and actively participates in national and state-based policy development and review processes across a wide range of industry stakeholders.

Adam holds a Master of Nurse Practitioner at Flinders University and has completed a Graduate Certificate of Urological and Continence Nursing at La Trobe University. Adam is an Executive Committee member (Secretary) of the Victorian/Tasmania Urology Nurses Society and recently represented Victoria and Tasmania on the ANZUNS Executive Committee. He is also a founder and chair of the ANZUNS Special Interest Group for Nurse Practitioners which is the first of its kind within Australia. Furthermore, he is an invited research peer reviewer for the International Journal of Urological Nursing (IJUN).
