AUA patients have access to our specialised urology nurses – Adam, Sarah and Brianna – who are an integral part of the clinical team. In addition to assisting the Urologists with minor procedures in the rooms, our nurses provide comprehensive patient education, continence and catheter management, wound care, and act as a liaison between the patient and specialist to facilitate the delivery of high-quality, timely care. Their guidance and reassurance in supporting often sensitive issues is greatly appreciated by our patients.

“Sarah, the magnificent nurse!”
Nurse Sarah finds it highly rewarding to see a patient successfully manage a chronic condition or fully recover over months or years. “In these instances, you can see the tangible impact of our nursing role on positive outcomes”, she says.
As a patient at AUA, care doesn’t stop at the consultation with the Urologist. There are often questions or concerns that arise in between appointments and procedures. Our compassionate nurses are the first point of contact for these clinical queries and will liaise with your Urologist as required.
Nurse Adam is an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with advanced education, training and clinical expertise in Urology. Adam works collaboratively with our Urologists, seeing patients for sexual function support, cancer surveillance, medication reviews and more.
Behind the scenes, our dedicated nurses assist our wider support team with triaging, education, and coordinating patient care. Our nurses are greatly appreciated by our patients and team!
Existing patients can reach our nurses via phone during business hours on (03) 8506 3600.
